Sidama coffee can have different flavors.  Sidama region is blessed with volcanic soil that is nutrient rich. The greatest advantage of the region is the self-sustaining ecosystems that maintain the richness of the soil, where natural fertilizers are formed from withering trees, dried leaves and wilted flowers.

This coffee is processed in Damo Village, located in the Bensa woreda of the Sidama Zone of Ethiopia. The coffee which grow in this area is top quality Sidama coffee, which is categorised as "A" according to the current Ethiopian coffee designation.

Ardent coffees are receiving ratings greater than 90 on the 100 point rating system of Speciality Coffee Association of America (SCAA). Ardent actively participate in economic development pursuits of the commuinities where they produce  coffee. In the last production season, they built an elementary school in Bensa, Sidama. It also have Ardent Childern Center in Sidama  and Yirgacheffe, that support 70 orphan and semi orphan in the coffee producing commuinties by providing care, support, security, food and education.
